Privacy Policy

How Visa Vida collects, uses, and protects your information.

Version 2026-07-29Effective July 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Visa Vida LLC, an Ohio limited liability company doing business as Visa Vida ("Visa Vida," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our website at myvisavida.com, our application, and the services we provide through them (together, the "Services"). It works alongside our Terms of Service.

By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Services.

A quick note on who we are: Visa Vida is a document preparation service, not a law firm. That shapes how we handle your information, which is described throughout this policy.

Quick summary

This summary is here to help you get oriented. It is not a substitute for the full policy below.

We collect the information you give us to prepare your immigration application, including sensitive documents like passports and birth certificates, along with basic account and payment details and ordinary website usage data. We use it to prepare your forms, organize your evidence, run our human review, communicate with you, keep the Services secure, and improve them. We do not sell your information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it, or let our providers use it, to train AI models. We use a small set of trusted service providers to operate, and an AI tool that assists our staff but does not make decisions about your case. You can request deletion of your data at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide. When you create an account and use the Services, you give us your account and contact details, the answers you enter in our guided intake, and the documents you upload to support your application. If you purchase our optional print-and-mail add-on, you also give us the US mailing address where your printed package should be delivered.

1.2 Sensitive information. Preparing an immigration application necessarily involves sensitive information. Depending on your case, this may include passport, driver's license, state identification, Social Security, and other government identification numbers; birth certificate information; immigration status; information that can reveal race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, and marital and family relationships; and, for fiance (K-1) petitioners, criminal-history information (such as arrests, charges, or convictions) that Form I-129F requires us to collect. We collect this information only to provide the Services you have asked us to perform, and we handle it with the protections described in this policy.

1.3 Information about other people that you provide. Your application may include information about other people, such as a beneficiary spouse or fiance and any dependent family members. When you provide it, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.

1.4 Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card number; we receive limited billing and transaction details needed to manage your purchase.

1.5 Information collected automatically. On our public website pages, we and our analytics provider automatically collect ordinary usage information such as your browser and device type and the pages viewed. We use Google Analytics for this, configured in an analytics-only mode: no advertising features, no Google Signals, IP addresses anonymized, and no name, account detail, or case information is ever sent to it. Analytics runs only on our public marketing pages. It never runs inside the application where you work on your case.

1.6 Cookies. We use strictly necessary cookies to run the Services, such as keeping you signed in and processing your payment, and one set of analytics cookies through Google Analytics to understand how our public pages are used. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies. We manage cookie choices through a consent tool (CookieYes). In regions that require prior opt-in consent for non-essential cookies, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off until you accept them. Everywhere else you can decline or withdraw consent at any time using the cookie banner and its floating preferences button. Inside the application there are no analytics or consent-managed cookies at all, only the strictly necessary ones.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

2.1 Provide the Services. Prepare your forms, organize your evidence, run our review and clarification process, and deliver your finished package, including printing and mailing it to you if you choose that add-on.

2.2 Communicate with you. Send transactional and relationship messages such as case updates, clarification requests, billing notices, and security alerts. These are necessary to operate your account, and they are separate from marketing email.

2.3 Provide support. Respond to your questions and resolve issues.

2.4 Keep the Services secure. Protect accounts, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain the integrity of the Services.

2.5 Improve the Services. Understand public website usage and traffic through Google Analytics, in de-identified or aggregate form, with no personal or case information sent to it.

2.6 Comply with law. Meet our legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

2.7 Send you relevant marketing. If you are a current or former customer, we may email you about related services that may be relevant to your case, for example a follow-up about preparing the Affidavit of Support some time after a spouse petition. We may also send marketing to people who are not customers but who explicitly asked to hear from us, for example by checking the optional marketing box on our contact form. Either way, you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email, and opting out will not stop the transactional and relationship messages in Section 2.2. We do not buy or use third-party marketing lists, and we never add you to marketing without your explicit request or your becoming a customer.

3. Artificial intelligence and our review

3.1 How we use AI. Our review process uses an AI tool to help our staff check your case for completeness and consistency. The AI assists our reviewer. It is not the decision-maker, and you do not receive its output directly.

3.2 A person reviews your case. A trained Visa Vida staff member, not solely an automated system, reviews every case. We do not make decisions that produce legal effects about you based only on automated processing. Our review is a completeness and consistency review by trained staff. It is not legal advice and not attorney review, because Visa Vida is a document preparer and not a law firm.

3.3 Our AI provider, model training, and retention. Our only AI provider is Anthropic, which we use through its commercial API. We do not train any AI models on your information, and under Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service, Anthropic is contractually prohibited from training its models on the information we send through the API. Anthropic processes this information only to perform the function described above, and may retain it for a limited period (currently up to 30 days) for safety and security purposes, after which it is deleted. It is never used for training.

3.4 Your choices about automated processing. Where the law gives you rights regarding automated processing, you may ask us for a human to review an AI-assisted step, provide additional context for us to consider, and contest an outcome you believe was influenced by AI. Contact us using Section 10.

4. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train AI

In plain language

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not 'share' it (as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act) with advertisers or data brokers.

We do not use your personal information to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. We contractually require our service providers, including our AI provider, not to train their models on your data.

We use your information only to prepare and review your application, support you, and operate our service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it (as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act) with advertisers or data brokers. We run our analytics in an analytics-only configuration with advertising features turned off, and we use no advertising pixels or trackers of any kind.

We do not use your personal information to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, and we contractually require our service providers, including our AI provider, not to train their models on your data.

We use your information only to prepare and review your application, support you, and operate our service.

5. How we share information

In plain language

If you choose our optional print-and-mail add-on, we share your name and the U.S. mailing address you provided with Click2Mail, our print-and-mail service provider, so it can print your filing packet and mail it to you. Your packet is always mailed to you, never to USCIS or any other party.

As with our other service providers, Click2Mail is contractually restricted to using your information only to provide this service, and not for any other purpose, including training artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

5.1 Service providers. We share information with a small set of providers that operate the Services on our behalf, each restricted by contract to using it only to provide services to us:

  • Supabase, for our database, authentication, and private file storage;
  • Cloudflare, for hosting our website and application;
  • Google Cloud, for the secure, short-lived compute that assembles your document package (nothing is stored there after the work completes);
  • Stripe, for payment processing;
  • Resend, for sending email;
  • Google, for Sign-in with Google, for the address autocomplete in our intake (Google Places), and for Google Analytics on our public pages;
  • Anthropic, for the AI that assists our review;
  • CookieYes, for managing cookie consent; and
  • Click2Mail, our print-and-mail provider, only if you choose the optional print-and-mail add-on.

5.2 The print-and-mail add-on. If you choose our optional print-and-mail add-on, we share your name and the US mailing address you provided with Click2Mail so it can print your filing packet and mail it to you. Your packet is always mailed to you, never to USCIS or any other party. As with our other service providers, Click2Mail is contractually restricted to using your information only to provide this service, and not for any other purpose, including training artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

5.3 Legal process and safety. We may disclose your information where we believe in good faith that it is required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Services. Where we are legally permitted and able to, we will give you notice and a reasonable opportunity to object before we disclose.

5.4 Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be among the assets transferred, and it will remain subject to this policy or a successor policy that is no less protective.

5.5 With your direction. We share information with others when you ask us to.

6. How we protect your information

6.1 Security measures. We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls on our private file storage, and account protections that include multi-factor authentication.

6.2 No method is perfect. No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6.3 Breach notification. If a data breach affects your information, we will notify affected users and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law.

6.4 Your role. Please keep your account credentials confidential, and use the Services in a secure environment.

7. How long we keep your information, and deletion

7.1 Retention. We keep your information while your account is active and for an archive period of three years after your package has been delivered, then delete it in the ordinary course. We keep your contact information and the type of case you prepared long enough to send the customer follow-up described in Section 2.7, unless you ask us to delete it or opt out sooner.

7.2 Deletion you can request. You may ask us to delete your data at any time by contacting us using Section 10. When you do, we delete your information, including the files held in our storage, and we stop sending you marketing email. We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.

7.3 What deletion does not remove. We may keep a minimal set of records that we are required to retain or that we need for audit purposes, such as basic payment and tax records and, if you used the print-and-mail add-on, a record of the order and the address it was mailed to. A request to delete your data is handled separately from any request for a refund.

8. Children

The Services are intended for adults who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. We may, however, process information about a minor, such as a dependent child included in your application, when you, the adult account holder, provide it to prepare your case. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, please contact us and we will address it.

9. Your privacy rights

9.1 US state privacy rights. Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to know what personal information we hold about you, to access or receive a copy of it, to correct it, and to delete it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, contact us using Section 10. We will verify your request before acting on it, and where the law allows you to appeal a decision, we will tell you how.

9.2 Sensitive information. Where applicable law gives you the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, you may contact us to do so. As described in Section 1.2, we use sensitive information only to provide the Services you requested.

9.3 Opting out. Because we do not sell your personal information and do not share it for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of under laws that regulate those practices. The one optional data flow on our site is analytics cookies, which you can decline or withdraw at any time using the cookie banner described in Section 1.6.

9.4 If you are outside the United States. Our Services are offered to customers in the United States. Your application may include information about a beneficiary who lives abroad; that information is provided by you, the US-based account holder, and is processed in the United States as described in Section 10.1. If foreign law grants you rights in information we hold, you may exercise them by contacting us using Section 10, and we will honor requests for access, correction, and deletion as described in this policy.

9.5 How to exercise your rights. Contact us using the details in Section 10. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

10. Administrative

10.1 Where your information is processed. Our servers are located in the United States, and your information is processed there. In spouse and fiance cases, a beneficiary may live outside the United States, in which case the information you provide about them is also processed in the United States.

10.2 Links to other sites. Our website may link to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.

10.3 Changes to this policy. We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will post the updated policy with a new effective date and, consistent with our Terms, ask for your agreement to material changes through a clear prompt in the product before you continue using the affected Services. We keep prior versions.

10.4 Contact us. Questions or requests about this policy can be sent to help@myvisavida.com, or by mail to:
